Frequently Asked Questions

  • TYC is for yogis who have completed their 200-hour YTT. You don't have to be actively teaching — many members do, but plenty are between studios, working in other roles, or exploring new avenues.

  • TYC lives on Slack, so you can participate on your own time. There are dedicated spaces for gigs and opportunities, housing, travel, yoga, and honest conversations about work, life, and practice. We know Slack gives some people the ick, but trust us — this is a group chat you'll actually want to be in.

  • Most people find TYC through someone they know — if that's you, mention their name in the application form and we'll fast-track your spot. Don't know anyone yet? Apply anyway — we hand review every application.

    Once you apply, expect to hear back within 48 hours with details to join. And yes, it's completely free :)

  • Planet earth! TYC members are based all over the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa, and many are traveling, nomadic, or in between places. We have dedicated spaces for housing and travel — wherever you're headed, someone in the community has probably been there.

  • There's no participation requirement — the space is there when you need it. That said, like most good things in life, what you put in is what you get out. Some members are in daily, others a few times a week depending on conversations they're following or if they're looking for something specific.

TYC is a community of powerful humans connected through the practical magic of yoga, built on honest conversation, shared wisdom, and real-world support in practice and in life.
